PS 131: International RelationsWith two or three partners select one of the topics below. These are very broad topics; together you as a group with me we will focus on a particular problem and question and devise a strategy for investigation. At a couple of points during the term, groups will present their research, evidence and findings. Each member of the group will also write an individual 10-page paper.
At the end of this project you will be able to:
Describe the important characteristics of the problem
Explain the project in the context of world politics
Find and evaluate appropriate evidence related to your question
Explain the questions that you explored and the conclusions you reached
Relate this project, and your explanation, to theoretical ideas about world
politics
Write an effective paper dealing with this topic and your groups exploration
Work with partners to develop effective strategies for research and
presentation of the problem and your answers
