Recipient of 2002-03 Small Research Grants from the American Political Science Association to study the processes of democratic transition in El Salvador

Trips to El Salvador in 2002 and 2003. Interviews with political actors and activists on the status of Salvadoran democracy -- included negotiators of the 1992 Peace Accords, retired military officers, legislators and local governmental officials.
