Install Symantec Antivirus for Windows or request the mac versions. This is provided FREE to all PMC full-time, part-time, resident and commuter students only (sorry, faculty, staff and others are not eligible). Please read the following carefully before proceeding to the installation.

This is a Web-based installation, not a download. You must be running the following to install the software over the Web:

Operating system:

Windows 95
Windows 98
Windows ME
Windows 2000
Windows XP Home or Pro
Windows 2003
Apple Mac OS9 and OSX versions are available but cannot be installed through the Web. Click this link to Download the Mac version.

Web Browser:

You must be running Internet Explorer Version 4.0 or higher to use the Web-based installation.

You must be inside the dorms to access the software. Commuting students can bring a laptop in or contact helpdesk@pmc.edu for assistance.

IMPORTANT: Only install this product if you do not have a current and updated antivirus product. You should remove (uninstall) outdated antivirus products before you install the software provided here. Pine Manor is not responsible for support of this product or problems resulting from its use or installation. It is provided as a courtesy to our students. As always, we do our best to assist you via helpdesk@pmc.edu.

Once installed, the antivirus software will have the latest virus definitions and will check for updates on a weekly basis. If you want to change the update schedule, please consult the help menu from within the software. Symantec Client Security will be added to your Programs group. You may also double-click the gold shield icon near the lower right of the screen near the clock.
