Submission Guidelines
We consider fiction, poetry, personal essay (creative non-fiction), academic or expository writing, genre fiction (crime, science-fiction, romance, fantasy) and digital artwork. If your work is accepted for publication, Conifers will acquire first North-American electronic rights, and you will get a chance to be famous and have your work read by a national audience.

Conifers
accepts only previously unpublished work by
undergraduate students at colleges and universities in the United
States. Please send us your best work, and please submit no
more
that two pieces per reading period. Our reading period begins September 1st and ends January
15th. This is the deadline to get your work to
us.
Please send an email which contains your full name, the name of the college or university you attend, your status (first-year, sophmore, junior or senior), the title of your piece, and what category (fiction, poetry, personal essay, academic writing, or genre fiction.) you are submitting to. Please cut and paste the double-spaced text of your writing submission into the body of the email. Send artwork as an attachment. The subject line of your email should contain your last name, the title of your piece, and the category you are submitting to (ex: Clark, "My Great Story," Fiction). Send all submissions to the email address
journal at pmc dot edu.
Submissions that do not conform to the guidelines will not be considered.

If
you have submitted work for our consideration and are still waiting to
hear whether or not you will have your work published, please be
patient. Our editorial staff is reviewing much high-quality
writing and art. You should hear of our descision via email in
the weeks before April 1st 2009.
