PMC Student-Athlete of the Week:
Amanda Dennis, Volleyball

Volleyball's Amanda Dennis is this week's PMC Student-Athlete of the Week after averaging five kills, 2.5 blocks and 0.5 block assists per match in Saturday's tri-match.


                            
Gators drop Clark tri-match
10/25/08   Worcester, MA - Despite improvement throughout, the Gators dropped both halves of the Clark tri-match, falling to the Cougars, 3-1, and Trinity, 0-3. Amanda Dennis totaled seven blocks on the day.

                         Beacons breeze past Gators
10/21/08  Setter Kelly Pirzl led the Gators with 12 assists and two aces, as the Gators succumbed to the Beacons, 0-3.


 
                         Gators drop GNAC tri-match
10/18/08   Chestnut Hill, MA -  The Gators missed out on a opportune time to gain ground on two GNAC rivals Saturday, dropping both halves of a home tri-match, 0-3 to Mount Ida and 1-3 to Emmanuel.  
                           Volleyball splits tri-match
10/12/08   New Haven, CT - After falling 0-3 to Simmons, the Gators rallied to defeat Albertus Magnus, picking up their second road win of the season and getting back to .500 in GNAC play.

 
                     Road woes continue to haunt Gators
10/9/08   Quincy, MA - Pine Manor Volleyball lost for its sixth time in seven road matches this season, losing 2-3 to Eastern Nazarine on Thursday after dropping the fifth set 10-15.

Volleyball tops UM-Machias,
Dennis named All-Tournament

10/4/08   Salem, MA - The Gators snapped a four-match losing streak with a 3-0 win over Maine-Machias, and senior Amanda Dennis earned all-tournament team honors at the Salem State Tournament on Saturday.

Fatigued Gators can't finish against Engineers
10/2/08   Chestnut Hill, MA - Again with six healthy players for a second match in as many nights, a fatigued, undermanned Gators club blew leads of 23-16 and 21-14 in a 3-0 loss to the WPI Thursday. GNAC blocks leader Amanda Dennis (left) led the Gators with three blocks.
  
                      Volleyball stumbles at Suffolk
10/1/08   Boston, MA - After taking the first set but falling 25-27 in the second, Andrea Lavigne's Gators couldn't regroup, losing 3-1 at Suffolk. Lavigne led Pine Manor with 16 digs and five kills.   
        
                     
Pride gets best of Gators
9/26/08   Weston, MA - In non-conference action on Friday, Pine Manor was swept on the road by the Regis College Pride, 3-0. The Gators return to GNAC play on October 1 at Suffolk.

Mastine led the first-place Gators to a 2-1 week, including a come-from-behind 3-2 win at St. Joseph's (ME) on Saturday to remain undefeated in GNAC play.
Gators come back, take 3-2 thriller
9/20/08   Standish, ME - Facing match point down 14-12, Jennifer Gross' Gators came through in the clutch again Saturday at St. Joseph's, scoring four straight points in coming from behind to win 3-2.

            Lavigne, Mastine's Gators route Lynx
9/18/08   Chestnut Hill, MA - Pine Manor raced out to a 7-0 lead in Game 1, setting the tone for an evening controlled by the Gators in a 3-0 victory Thursday over Lesley. Rachel Mastine had seven kills and six digs, and Andrea Lavigne added six kills and eight digs.
        
             Seahawks capture match of streaks

9/16/08    Newport, RI –
In a match dominated by momentum, the Seahawks prolonged their hot streaks more often than their counterparts from Chestnut Hill on Monday, besting the Gators 3-1. For the Gators, Veronica Vozzolo had a game-high 21 digs.

Perseverance the difference in win over St. Joe
9/13/08   Chestnut Hill, MA - Pine Manor overcame an 18-25 loss in Game 1 to win three straight games in defeating St. Joseph (CT) this afternoon, 3-1, for a third straight victory. Andrea Lavigne led the streaking Gators with nine kills as the Gators improve to 3-1.

  Gators 'turn it on,' sweep Hawks
9/11/08   Chestnut Hill, MA - The Gators swept Becker (25-23, 25-20, 27-25), sneaking past the Hawks by nine points over three games. Ally Austin returned to the Gators lineup with seven assists for the Gators, who improved to 2-1.

9/8/08    Chestnut Hill, MA - Reigning All-GNAC Second Team middle hitter Amanda Dennis dominated at the net, earning Lyndsey Stults her first win as Gators coach Monday night, 3-2 over Newbury at Pine Manor Gym.

            Stults' sideline debut spoiled by Babson 
9/6/08   Babson Park, MA - The Gators succumbed to Babson, 3-0 in Lyndsey Stults' debut as Pine Manor coach on Saturday.
Veronica Vozollo led all players with 25 digs.
