Chestnut Hill, MA- 4/8/08 Congratulations to sophomore Courtney Wallace (Steep Falls, ME) and freshman Kelly Pirzl (Dalton, MA) who were honored by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference for their accomplishments this week on the softball field.

Wallace was named the Great Northeast Conference player of the week after hitting .682, with 3 homeruns, 4 doubles and 12 RBI’s.  Pirzl, was name Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the week after hitting .400 from her lead off spot, and leading the Gators with 13 RBI’s, and 6 stolen bases.  In addition, Kelly picked up her first college pitching victory throwing five innings against Emmanuel while striking out 8 and walking none. 

Pirzl and Wallace were instrumental in helping the Gators to a 9-1 start in the GNAC conference.  Congratulations gain to Courtney, and Kelly.
