Three Softball Players named to GNAC All Conference Softball Team
Congratulations to Courtney Wallace, Patty Pabon and Nicole Vocaturo who were named to the 2007 Great Northeast Athletic Conference All Conference Softball Team.
Wallace, a
freshman from Steep Falls,
ME was named first team all-conference as a catcher; only one
catcher is selected from the entire conference to be a member of the
first team. Courtney led the team
in almost every offensive category. She batted a staggering
.509 for the regular season, she drove in 51 RBI's and hit 9
homeruns. She lead the Great Northeast Athletic Conference is
batting average, RBI's total bases and doubles.
Pabon, a junior from
the Bronx, NY,
was named a second team all-conference utility player. Patty
transferred to Pine Manor after playing at Coppin State in
Baltimore, Maryland. Pabon caught, played right field and
second base for the Gators. In addition to her incredible play
in the field she was very productive at the plate. She
batted .379 with 5 doubles, 6 triples, and 22 RBI's.
Vocaturo a
sophomore from Bellmore, NY was named a second team all-conference
pitcher. Nicole was the Gators number one pitcher all season
long and was dominating at times. She pitched seven shutouts
on the year, collected a 14-7 record, struck out 154 batters in 145
innings, and had an earned run average of 1.21.
The most exciting part of these awards is that all three will return next year to help Pine Manor contend for the GNAC championship.
