Gators fall to Norwich in 1st round of the GNAC Playoffs
Chestnut Hill,, MA 4/27/06- Fifth seeded Norwich University defeated fourth seeded Pine Manor 4-3 in the first round of the GNAC tournament. Cadet shortstop Nikki Delandy went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 runs scored. The Gators loaded the bases twice but were unable to push a run across. Pine Manor freshman Megan Richmond went 2 for 3 and senior Ashley Woodward went 3 for 4. Norwich will face the winner of Western New England and Albertus Magnus while Pine Manor will face the loser of that game. The Gators must win to stay alive in the double elimination tournament.
