goalkeeper Alicia
Bobbie (Higganum, CT) tallied ten saves and
senior attack
Carrie Allard (Springfield, MA) netted five
goals and added two assists to help the Blazers
defeat Pine Manor 17-2 in Tuesday evenings
non-conference women's lacrosse game held at Leary
Field.
The victory improves Elms College to a mark of 1-1
on the season while Pine Manor dropped to a record
of 0-3.
Elms College jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead with a
goal just 25 seconds in, then gained a two-goal
advantage two minutes later when senior midfielder
Lauren O'Donnell (Hampden, MA) netted her first goal
of the night off an assist from Allard. O'Donnell
added two more first half goals, and finished the
contest with three goals and two assists.
Elms College freshman attack
Jennifer Lough
(Feeding Hills, MA) scored three times on
just six shots and recorded an assist in the winning
effort.
Pine Manor freshman midfielder Jacqueline
Sprague (Oxford, MA) and sophomore
midfielder Elaine Rodriguez (Bronx, NY)
each scored for the Gators.
