2007-08 Lacrosse Coaches

Head Coach

Katie Riegel- Katie enters her first season as the Head Coach of the Pine Manor Lacrosse team. She looks to add stability to the young team, and lead them in the GNAC Lacrosse League. Riegel comes to Pine Manor after spending the past year as the Head Lacrosse Coach at the University of California at San Diego, who are highly competitive in the WWLL (Western Women's Lacrosse League). She brought UCSD to the quarter finals game for the WWLL championships, where they lost to Cal Poly, the 7-time USLIA National Champions.
 
Katie worked at various lacrosse clinics throughout upstate New York, and was a volunteer for METRO Lacrosse in the spring of 2006, a non-profit in the greater Boston area. She was a four-year starter on the University of Rochester lacrosse team, and captained the team during her last two seasons. Katie was the UCAA Rookie of the Year in 2001, All-UCAA in 2001, and her team won the New York State Championships in 2002.
 
Riegel is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Sports Leadership at Northeastern University as well as her coaching certification from US Lacrosse, the only national governing body of lacrosse. She resides in Brookline, MA with her fiancé.

Assistant Coach

Andrea Peterson- Peterson begins her first season with Pine Manor as the Assistant Coach for the team. Before coaching for Pine Manor, Andrea was the Assistant / Conditioning Coach for Texas Tech University Women's Lacrosse team which was ranked as one of the top teams in TWLL (Texas Women's Lacrosse League).

 

Andrea was also a volunteer coach for METRO Lacrosse in the spring of 2007. Andrea was a four-year starter for Texas Tech University playing mostly defensive positions, but graduated as the teams Center. As goalie during the '02-'03 season, Andrea brought the team to states with an almost undefeated season only losing a game to the state champions, A&M University. Andrea was All-State in 2003 and was nominated as the MVP at the Pepperdine Lacrosse Tournament in 2005.

 

Andrea is currently working as an Editorial Project Manager at Aspatore Books Publishing Company. She resides in downtown Boston, MA with her husband.
