Brookline, MA- The Gators of Pine Manor College defeated the Nighthawks of Newbury College by 3 in a down to the wire finish this evening in Brookline, MA.  Nicole Doras (Salisbury, MA/Whittier Tech) lead the Gators with a team high 19 points and 10 rebounds.

 The Gators jumped out to an early lead, while the Nighthawks struggled to score but with intense defense the Nighthawks turned it around to head into the locker room only down 1 at the half.  The second half was a back and forth battle but the Gators had well balanced scoring with Enjolee Phillips (Hartford, CT/Weaver) and Laura Cecil (Solon, OH/Aurora) chipping in 16 and 10 points respectively leading their team to victory down the stretch.

 Despite the loss Jessica Lightfoot (Sewell, NJ/Clearview Regional) and Catie Cullen (Beverly, MA/Beverly) lead the Nighthawks with 33 of the teams 48 points. While Rashawna Wynn (Baltimore, MD/Southwestern) and Katelyn Mark (Quincy, MA/North Quincy) ripped 13 and 10 rebounds a piece.

The Gators return to action this Saturday when they travel to GNAC rival Daniel Webster.  Tip off is schedule for  1:00 PM
