MN270 THE NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION
Great option for students in management and organizational change; economic and financial systems; social and political systems; psychology; visual arts; education; science majors and more .....
Have you ever wondered what it might be like to run a Non-Profit Organization? Where do you get funding? How do you coordinate and utilize volunteers?
This course exposes students to the role and scope of the Non-Profit Organization in our country. Specific topics include; the voluntary organization management and leadership include the dynamic functions and membership structure of Non-Profit Organizations, including staff, board, and other volunteer relations; governance and management of Non-Profit Organizations; resource mobilization; and program development, management, and evaluation; scope of philanthropy; and the role of volunteerism in a democratic society. This course will not be offered again until spring 2010.
This course will be taught by Linda Walden, a seasoned Executive Director for many local Non-Profit Organizations. It will be offered 8:30 - 9:45am Tuesday and Thursday. There are NO Prerequisites.
MN251 METHODS FOR MANAGERIAL DECISION MAKING
This course exposes students to the quantitative and qualitative
tools necessary for managerial decision making.
This course is a requirement for Management and Organizational Change Majors.
MN211 is a prerequisite.
This course will be offered 1-2:15pm Monday and Wednesday.
